Harrisburg-Hershey Film Festival

Founded by filmmakers experienced with the filmmaking process (from Pre-Production through Distribution) and the Film Festival circuit, HHFF strives to bring the Independent Film Festival experience to Central Pennsylvania. Each screening block is a mixture of both short and feature films to maximize audience exposure to both mediums. The screening blocks are followed with a Q&A session in which the audience is able to interact with filmmakers in attendance, presenting an excellent opportunity for those at the heart of each narrative to receive feedback on their projects and grow as artists.

This year, filmmakers will also have the opportunity to attend filmmaker-led seminars. The first session, “Independent Film in the Digital Age,” features New York-based writer and director Jason Michael Brescia (The Newest Plege and Bridge and Tunnel) who will discuss the steps necessary for independent films to acquire distribution in an age of online streaming. Local filmmaker Hal Cramer (Nowhere, PA and Pretendagers) will lead the second session, “Shooting a feature with Under $5K,” in which he will discuss his experiences shooting two separate feature films on micro budgets.
